A Queer, Feminist film that follows an elderly Puerto Rican woman who finds solace in designing idiosyncratic funerals in the muerto parado or “standing funeral” tradition following the death of her husband. This dark comedy serves as a point for further discussion and reflection on individual and collective grieving processes and family and gender roles. 

Following the screening will be a roundtable discussion and break out groups with the film's director, Macha Colón, where audience members can process and share their reactions. There will also be a possible performance/concert by Macha Colón.
